August 13, 2006

Yes, Sunday August 13, 2006 is the official day that I started work on my car. The week previous I finally got the garage straightened up after messing it up again while preparing my wife's 1966 Mustang for a car show. I had to weld on some subrame connectors and install the headliner, among a few other things. That was the last week of May. It took until August for me to get around to getting it all neat again.
So here is what I have to work on my car in. It's a two car garage without a lot of room. Her Mustang will be able to be moved over about another 8 inches from where you see it now. I will also be moving the toolbox around so that there is more room near the Falcon.

When her car is done for the cruising season, or anytime I am doing any dust making work on my car, her car will be covered of course. I have plans to build a rotisserie to attach to the front and back of my car when the teardown gets to that point, but I don't know if my garage will be long enough for it.
